One man’s trash
is another man’s treasure,
but feasting on waste
gives a certain creature pleasure.
Its trash compactor home,
or 3263827,
is a jumble of space junk,
and it stinks to high heaven.
Look, but do not gawk
at its eyestalk.
You never
see its body.
That’s so punk rock!
If you’re standing in the trash,
and you see a little splash, dianoga! Dianoga!
If you’re knee-deep in the muck
and you feel a slimy sucker, dianoga! Dianoga!
With tentacles like cobras, dianogas can be grabby,
but if you lived in garbage, you would also be quite crabby.

Feeding on Imperial scraps,
it spends its time just cruising
from front to back and underneath
(when the walls are moving).
That pesky devil
on the detention level,
was pretty vicious.
It got a handle
of Luke’s right ankle.
Found it delicious!
